Headcount Engineering is seeking a Facilities Technician for our client’s pharma facility in Dublin. Minimum 12 months contract.

Principal Responsibilities

Facilities and Utilities Maintenance Technician

Reporting to the Facilities Manager the successful candidate will have the following main responsibilities:

  • Maintain equipment and systems at their optimum efficiency.
  • Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance per CMMS schedule.
  • Carry out emergency repairs on facilities equipment, systems and building infrastructure.
  • Liaise with vendors as needed, for spares, technical information and improvement projects.
  • Lead or support projects whose implementation lies within the remit of the Facilities team.
  • Liaise with Production when issues with utilities equipment effect their ability to manufacture.
  • Ensure compliance with requirements of Quality and EHS.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • National Mechanical/Electrical craft certificate or a third level diploma/degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (e.g. electrical, mechatronics, instrumentation or mechanical).
  • Minimum of three years’ maintenance experience preferably within a utilities or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in maintaining HVAC systems, Chillers, Boilers.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read technical documentation and drawings.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience using a CMMS system, preferably PEMAC or SAP.
  • Previous experience working within a GmP environment.
  • Previous experience using a Building Management System (BMS) for system diagnostics.
  • Refrigeration qualification or other specific utilities disciplines.  
  • Some knowledge of automation systems and PLC’s.
