We are seeking a Project Manager for our client’s medical device manufacturing facility in Cork.

Principal Responsibilities

Project Manager

We are seeking a Project Manager for our client’s medical device manufacturing facility in Cork. This person you will play a leading part within a global team who will develop 3D Printing technologies in partnership with the client’s operating companies to bring 3D Printed product to market. On a daily basis the Project Manager will interact with the Engineering, Quality, Operations, HSE, Facilities and the Design teams to develop this end to end process.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute detailed project plans in a manner that inspires team members. 
  • Develop deep insights into the needs of our operating companies, patients, customers, markets and communities.
  • Drive innovation by anticipating and shaping industry and market changes to advance health care globally. 
  • Lead 3D Printing Engineering activities while ensuring an integrated product and process development cycle. 
  • Lead a cross functional team put in place an end to end 3D Printing Process. 
  • Bringing 3D Printing and associated Technologies to production readiness. 
  • Lead technology selection and process design for product manufacture. 
  • Manage Partner Development, technology Readiness Assessments, PFMEA/risk assessment studies and process development/validation activities. 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Project Manager should Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline with 10 years’ experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a medical device or equivalent regulated environment. 
  • Certified Project Management qualifications (IPMA/FPX). 
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects. 
  • Proven Root Cause analysis and problem solving techniques (A3, 8D, TRIZ or equivalent). 
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes. 
  • Previous experience in Titanium 3D Printing / Additive Manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency of GD&T and ASME Y14.5M 1994 standards is advantageous.
